We have successfully accumulated more than enough regarding to the initial target of $2500, which equals 5258 coins used to build up the classroom model. We would like to show our great appreciation towards your valuable supports during the event
We are pleased to invite you to the closing ceremony of One Coin One Brick project. This ceremony celebrates the official acknowledgment from Record Book of Singapore as well as be a mini exhibition of the final model.
Time: Saturday 04 Apr 2009
01.45pm to 03.00pm
Venue: PGPR Function Room 3, NUS.
The ceremony will start at 02.00pm sharp. Please kindly arrive at 01.45pm.

Come join us at One Coin One Brick community service donation project!
 "One Coin One Brick" project is organized by the Vietnamese Student’s Subcommittee in National University of Singapore (VSS). It is one of our fund‐raising activities for the Vietnam JUMP project, which aims to raise 15,000 SGD for the construction of a musical and a medical room for a needy local kindergarten in Quang Nam province, Vietnam.
Inspired by what VietnamJUMP will do in Quang Nam, OCOB is going to build a classroom model with 5137 50-cent coins! Every single 50-coin donated will be put on the model by hand, which resembles the act to laying a brick to build a real classroom.
Besides the elevated purpose, the model is considered a Singapore record when finished! (and yes, we need YOU to make this happens)
Besides, OCOB gives NUS students a mass chance to be part of a Singapore national record breaking initiative for a good cause by donating 50 cent coins as "bricks" to build up a model of a classroom made of 5,137 coins, translated to SGD2,500 in monetary value.
