Objectives of the trip

• To raise awareness among young children as well as local residents about protecting and preserving our environment. We also aim at improving environmental condition for the local residents through our activities during two weeks there.

• To know more about the agricultural civilization of a Mekong Delta with diverse ethnic groups such as Kinh, Hoa Khmer, Tay, Thai. Long An is also an archaeological site of Oc Eo culture, one of the major ancient cultures of Indochina region.

• To enhance cross‐border understanding and awareness, create a chance for non‐Vietnamese NUS students to experience a culture that is enriching and diverse, as well as tighten the bonds between NUS students.

• To bring the spirit of NUS to the very strategic region of Vietnam, build up the image of a great university with not only successful students but also caring ones who are inspired to make the world better.
